With over 12 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant, including significant time at a Big 4 firm, she has developed deep expertise in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations. Mita specializes in conducting Single Audits in accordance with the Uniform Guidance, working with various governmental entities and grant recipients to assess internal controls, financial statements, and compliance with grant regulations. Additionally, she has extensive experience in HUD audits, ensuring that housing authorities and related entities comply with federal housing regulations and guidelines.

Mita’s strong understanding of government auditing standards (GAGAS), A-133 Audit requirements, and HUD-specific regulations enables her to deliver comprehensive audit reports, evaluate financial statements, and provide actionable recommendations. Passionate about staying up-to-date with evolving audit standards, Mita actively engages in continuous education and professional development to maintain best practices.
